	HVLP-Lackierpistolen HVLP steht für High Volume Low Pressure; es ist die Bezeichnung für ein international anerkanntes Niederdruckverfahren. Der Düseninnendruck liegt bei HVLP-Lackierpistolen bei maximal 0,7 bar, wodurch eine -> Übertragungsrate von deutlich über 65% erzielt wird. Um auch mit HVLP-Pistolen ein hervorragendes Lackierergebnis zu erzielen, wird ein höheres Luftvolumen zur Zerstäubung benötigt. Für Betriebe, die nur über einen kleinen Kompressor verfügen, sind Lackierpistolen mit RP-Technologie meist besser geeignet. Wichtig ist auch zu wissen, daß sich der höhere Luftverbrauch praktisch nicht auf die Wirtschaftlichkeit einer HVLP-Lackierpistole auswirkt. Die Einsparung an teurem Lackmaterial durch eine HVLP-Pistole überwiegt bei weitem die geringen Mehrkosten durch den höheren Luftverbrauch.
