For current models, the SAL or serial number is always 10 characters in the format XXX XXX XXXX. The SAL or serial number can contain digits and letters. For older models, this serial number is 5 or 6 characters long.

Free warranty extension to 3 years
You will receive a free warranty extension to 3 years for the following SATA product groups:
- Spray guns
- Filters
- Supplied-air respirators
What does the warranty cover?
The SATA Premium Warranty covers the cost of repair and free replacement of defective parts due to material or manufacturing defects.
The SATA Premium Warranty does not cover:
- especially wear-and-tear pieces
- normal wear and tear
- electronic components
- overloading of the product
- the battery of the SATA trueSun™ (6-month warranty)

On the packaging
The hologram security label with two scratch pads ensures that the product is an original SATA product. You will find it on the packaging for paint spray guns, breathing masks, and compressed air filters. You will find the SAL code in small print above the barcode or directly on the product.

The SAL code or serial number can also be found directly on your SATA product, depending on the product type and version, in the appropriate place.

The granting of warranty services does neither extend the warranty period, nor does it trigger a new warranty period. Please note that warranty claims can only be accepted if the product is submitted assembled and in its original condition, along with the SATA Premium Warranty Certificate and proof of purchase. Please also note that the contact details of the person who actually makes use of the SATA Premium Warranty must be provided.
