SATA® air warmer - module for the SATA air carbon regulator

SATA® air carbon regulator

SATA® air humidifier

In autumn this year, a breathing air humidifier, a belt-hung activated charcoal filter unit as well as a breathing air warmer will be added to the portfolio of accessories available for the SATA air vision 5000 breathing protection hood.

All accessories have been designed as modular components which can be easily attached to or removed from the wearer- friendly, extra-large and comfortably cushioned SATA air regulator belt, or switched from one side of the belt unit to the other – thus allowing the adaptation of the belt unit to the individual requirements of each painter.

SATA air humidifier
The SATA air humidifier ensures comfortable breathing air for air-fed breathing protection systems, such as the breathing protection hood SATA air vision 5000, by increasing the relative humidity up to 30%. Thus providing ideal working conditions, it will help prevent mucous membranes from drying out.

Under normal conditions, the filter cartridges of this low-maintenance system will last up to six months. The integrated SATA filter timer indicates when the end of the recommended usage period has been reached, allowing the replacement of the used cartridge in good time. Replacing the filter cartridge is extremely easy, taking only a few minutes.

Its higher water retention capacity, which has been increased by a third in comparison to the previous system, enables the painter to work much longer without the need to refill. Thanks to the large refill aperture, it is extremely quick and easy to fill up the reservoir with de-mineralised water which must be used. As with all the other modular accessories, the SATA air humidifier can be worn either on the right or on the left side of the SATA air regulator belt to suit the individual needs of each painter.

SATA air carbon regulator
The SATA air carbon regulator guarantees optimum breathing protection when wall-mounted filter regulator units without activated charcoal filter stage (i.e. third filter stage) are being used, as its integrated activated charcoal cartridge removes hazardous oil vapours and other gaseous contaminants from the breathing air.

The module is simply attached to the designated fixture on the SATA air regulator belt and can be rotated by up to +/- 45° forward and backward for optimum comfort, additionally the module can be mounted on either the right or left hand side, as desired by each individual painter. Another very useful detail of the SATA air carbon regulator is the fold-out support arm where the breathing protection hood can be hooked on to whilst not being worn. The integrated SATA filter timer indicates when the end of the recommended usage period has been reached, allowing the replacement of the used cartridge in good time.

The air vision 5000 is equipped with the CCSSATA Colour Code System – allowing easy identification of the spray gun. For example, your spray gun for waterborne paints could be marked with a blue chip and your clear coat gun with a black chip or one particular colour could be assigned to each individual painter.X»-discs (Colour Code System), as seen on SATA spray guns for many years, to allow the individual marking of the single components to avoid confusion when several breathing protection systems are in use.

SATA air warmer - module for the SATA air carbon regulator
If required, an optionally available SATA air warmer can be inserted in the SATA air carbon regulator to warm up the breathing air.

The SATA air warmer is an extremely useful accessory for use during the winter season when the breathing air may be very cold, due to the upstream refrigerated dryer. This component is designed to ensure the regulated warming of the breathing air feeding air-supplied breathing protection systems, whether it be the halfmask solutions or full hood versions.

Depending on the actual demand of supplied air, the breathing air temperature can be adjusted between 4°C up to 20°C. Thanks to the multi-stage heating regulation, the temperature of the breathing air can be adjusted exactly as required by the user.
